Perfomax”: Composite herbal formulation by DRDO

  • DRDO launched a composite herbal formulation “Perfomax” which assists in ameliorating physical and mental performance at Higher Altitudes and Hypoxic Conditions
  • The formulation is rich in antioxidants and other bioactive compounds and will assist better the performance of defence people working at elevated altitudes
  • The new herbal solution helps enhance the performance of brain, heart, kidney and lungs and also improves blood circulation

     
     

Shourya missile successfully Test Fired by INDIA

  • India effectively test-fired hypersonic missile – Shourya

  • The nuclear able missile was test fired from the launch complex of Integrated Test Range at Chandipore near Balasore off Odisha coast
  • The hypersonic missile can bear usual warheads up to 1 tonne and can fly at 6-7 times the speed of sound at low altitudes
  • It is the land-variant of underwater-launched missile K-15 being fitted into nuclear-powered submarine Arihant. K-15 is already under production
  • It is the second developmental trial of the missile. Shourya was earlier launched successfully on November 12, 2008
  • The missile will be inducted into the Indian Army soon
  • The missile’s manoeuvrability makes it less susceptible to the present-day anti-missile defence systems

“Martyr of Peace” conferred on Burhanuddin Rabbani

  • Title “Martyr of Peace” posthumously conferred on Burhanuddin Rabbani , Former Afghan President and the High Peace Council chief
  • Afghan President Hamid Karzai declared the same at the funeral ceremony of Burhanuddin Rabbani
  • Prof. Rabbani, President of Afghanistan from 1992 to 1996, was killed by a suicide bomber

India Rail Engines to be rented to Pakistan Railway

  • Pakistan Railways will rent engines from India
  • The engines to be rented to Pakistan in order to enhance the Pakistan’s Railway’s performance
  • In the initial phase some 50 engines will be hired from INDIA
