15th East Asia Summit held
On November 14, 2020, External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar represented India at the 15th East Asia Summit (EAS). The summit discussed ways to strengthen the platform. The EAS is a group of 10 ASEAN countries that includes Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), and also Australia, China, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Russia and the US.

Khelo India Scheme: 500 private academies to be funded
The Sports Ministry has introduced an incentivisation structure to extend monetary support to 500 private academies. The 14 priority disciplines identified for excellence in 2028 Olympics will be eligible for receiving support in the first phase.
