500th anniversary of coronation of Krishnadevaraya
Tuluva Sri Krishna Deva Raya was the Emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire and during his time, the empire was on its zenith. He hsi also known by his other titles Kannada Rajya Rama Ramana , Mooru Rayara Ganda & Andhra Bhoja. he ruled from 1509 to 1530 AD. This year marks the 500th anniversary of coronation of Krishnadevaraya.

How much Milk India Produced in 2009?
The world’s second largest milk producer, India produced 108.5 million tonne of milk last year. To meet the projected demand of 166 million tonne of milk by 2020, India require to increase its milk production by five million tonne every year compared with 3.2 million tonne a year recorded in the last 15 years.
Orissa: 14 elephant corridors
Orissa Government decides to create 14 elephant corridors, including four inter-states, by the end of March 2010. This is being done to to check the rising incidence of man-elephant conflict. The proposed corridors would have the provision for food, water and facility for increasing the number of elephants.

Ranbaxy Laboratories enters into vaccine market with signing of agreements to acquire product rights and a manufacturing facility of the Bangalore-based Biovel Lifesciences.The transaction includes Typhoid Vi antigen and Hib conjugate vaccines for which Biovel has received a regulatory approval for India.
