- To celebrate the platinum jubilee of gold medal win of Indian hockey team in Berlin Olympics on August 15, 1936, a special programme organized in Madhya Pradesh
- With this win in 1936, India completed the hat trick of gold medal haul in the Olympics
- India won the gold medal in Berlin Olympics on August 15, 1936, in the presence of the then ruler of Germany, Adolf Hitler
