Cuba, Russia sign Agreement on Peaceful Nuclear Cooperation
Russia and Cuba have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of peaceful atomic energy use.
The agreement was signed between Russian state nuclear agency Rosatom and Cuba’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in Vienna.
Key Facts
- The agreement was signed on the sidelines of International 60th Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference held in Vienna, capital city of Austria.
- The deal lays down the basis for further cooperation in different fields from agriculture to training nuclear specialists.
- To facilitate the implementation of the agreement special coordinating committees and bilateral working groups will be created.
