Consultative Meeting for setting Framework for ‘Shehri Samridhi Utsav 2020’
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs under its scheme- Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana will be organizing a consultative meeting in the upcoming Monday, 30th December 2019 in New Delhi. The consultative meeting will be organized with all states and union territories for setting the framework for the Shehri Samridhi Utsav 2020. The first edition of the Utsav was organized in 2019, the consultative meeting organized by the Ministry will be for the discussion on the learnings and to chalk out roadmap and strategy for the second edition.
The second edition of the Utsav will be organized from 28th March to 12th April 2020. At the meeting, issues related to urban beneficiaries under skill development in the plumbing sector, to implement the Street Vendor’s Act will be discussed. The Ministry has also planned for distributing awards for excellent performance in the implementation of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana to the winning states based on the Systematic Progressive Analytical Real Time Ranking (SPARK) for the financial year 2018-19.
The Ministry also aims to provide wider access to the products developed by the Self Help Groups (SHGs), for which collaboration with e-commerce portals will be organized during the Utsav in 2020, this will also promote the initiate of the Government for women entrepreneurs by helping them in capacity building and in developing skills, financial management, and digital marketing.
The first edition of Shehri Samridhi Utsav 2019, succeeded the government’s initiative for reaching to the urban population’s most vulnerable sections.
