Committee on World Food Security

The Committee on World Food Security or CFS is an intergovernmental forum seeking to ensure universal food and nutritional security. This committee reports to the United Nations General Assembly through the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and to the FAO conference. It uses multi-stakeholder, inclusive approach to develop and endorse policy recommendations and guidelines on wide range of food security and nutrition. It recently endorsed voluntary guidelines on food systems and nutrition.
