CoD service on Trains and Railway Stations by Indian Railways

For generating more non-fare revenue, Indian Railway Board will soon be providing Content on Demand (CoD) services to its passengers of all Premium/ Express/ Mail trains and also in Suburban trains, which will be handled by the RailTel Corporation of India, a Mini Ratna Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) under the Ministry of Railway.

M/s Margo Network. a subsidiary of Zee Entertainment has been selected by RAilTel as the Digital Entertainment Service Provider (DESP) for providing Content on Demand (CoD) service on railway stations and trains.

The project will be completed by 2022 and in this project, RailTel will provide much preloaded multilingual content in moving trains such as movies, music videos, general entertainment, lifestyle, etc through media servers installed in trains and it covers all 17 zones of Indian Railways

CoD platform will provide e-commerce services, innovative solutions in the digital marketing domain and with this service, passengers will be able to take pleasure of high-quality buffer-free and uninterrupted subscription/ free based entertainment service on personal devices during their train journey that will improve the overall passenger experience.
