CoBRA

The Commando Battalion for Resolute Action or CoBRA is a special operation unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) that was set up in 2009 for addressing the Naxalite issue and insurgencies across the country. In a first, 34 CRPF women personnel were inducted into this elite force to take part in anti-naxal operations. These personnel were chosen from the existing 6 all-women battalions of the force.
