Climate Breakthroughs Summit

The Climate Breakthroughs Summit was held virtually on May 27 this year. It is a joint initiative of the World Economic Forum, Mission Possible Partnership, the United Nations Climate Champions, and the United Kingdom, which is currently presiding the Climate Change Conference (COP26). Discussions during this event focused on the advancement of critical sectors like steel, shipping, green hydrogen etc.

One of the major campaigns of this event was ‘Race to Zero’ campaign that ropes in support of several cities, investors, educational institutions and businesses to progress towards zero-carbon recovery for sustainable future. Many new companies like Maersk have joined this campaign during this event.
