China to host 2023 Asian Cup Football tournament

The 2023 Asian Cup Football tournament will be hosted by China after South Korea withdraws its bid. The Korea Football Association (KFA) said in a statement it had pulled out to “strategically focus” on a joint bid with North Korea to host the Women’s World Cup in the same year. The 2023 AFC Asian Cup is the quadrennial international men’s football championship of Asia organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
