Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution: What is C4IR Telangana?
The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced the establishment of a Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR Telangana) in Hyderabad. It will focus on healthcare and life sciences, with the goal of accelerating product development and delivery innovation within the Indian healthcare system.
The C4IR Telangana: A Collaborative Effort
- The C4IR Telangana will be a collaboration between the WEF and the government of Telangana, with the support of the private sector.
- The initiative will be led by the Telangana Life Sciences Foundation, and will be an autonomous non-profit organization.
- The WEF President, Børge Brende, stated that India has a unique opportunity to lead healthcare and life sciences in South Asia, and that the C4IR Telangana will play a key role in driving stakeholder engagement and building bridges between the public sector and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
