Carbon Watch

Carbon watch is an app to determine an individual’s carbon footprint. Carbon footprint is the amount of GHGs (greenhouse gases) released by human activities into the atmosphere. This first of its kind app in India was launched in Chandigarh recently and can be accessed by everyone. The app takes in information under 4 heads: water, energy, transport and waste generation. It will use this information to calculate the individual’s carbon footprint. It will also provide information about national and global average of GHG emissions.
