Canada's York University confers honorary doctorate upon Ratan Tata

Canada’s prestigious York University bestowed Ratan Tata with an honorary doctor of laws degree for his pursuit of innovation and role in promoting corporate social responsibility.
The chairman emeritus of Tata Sons is viewed as one of the great architects of modern India and one of the great global visionaries in business. He has become an international icon of corporate social responsibility and now he heads the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the Sir Ratan Tata Trust and other smaller trusts which together hold 66% shares in the holding company Tata Sons.
