Cabinet approves MoC between India and Japan on Technical Intern Training Program

The Union Cabinet has approved signing of Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between India and Japan on the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP). Decision in this regard was taken by the Union Cabinet Meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

Key Facts

The Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) is ambitious program to send Indian technical interns to Japan for onjob training for a period of three to five years. It is expected that MoC will pave way for bilateral cooperation between two countries in the area of skill development. The MoC is expected to be signed during forthcoming visit of Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship on October, 16-18, 2017 at Tokyo.
