British Army’s first Sikh soldier faces racial remarks by his collegues
The British Army’s first Sikh soldier Guardsman Jatinderpal Singh Bhullar, who joined Scots guard this year, went through racial abuse from his colleagues over his headgear and his refusal to cut hair and his beard. Breaking an old tradition, British Army allowed Bhullar to wear a turban rather than a bearskin on ceremonial duties.
