Book on Fire and Fury Corps of Army released

Coffee table book titled ‘Fire and Fury Corps– Saga of Valour, Fortitude and Sacrifice,‘ a repository of exemplary valour of Fire and Fury Corps and their utmost dedication to nation was released. The book was released in Leh, in J&K by Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh on the occasion of nation celebrating 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

About Book

• It showcases history and achievements of Fire and Fury Corps of the Army, which guards Line of Control (LoC), the military control line between Indian and Pakistani controlled parts of former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Line of Actual Control (LAC), the line that separates Indian-controlled territory from Chinese-controlled territory in the former princely state of J&K.
• It documents courage and bravery of Fire and Fury Warriors and portrays rich heritage and ethos of Indian Army.
• It brings to fore numerous sagas of great courage, supreme sacrifices and other hitherto hidden facets of soldiering displayed by Corps in various wars.
• It also covers serenity and mysticism of Ladakh and its people, as a tribute to symbiotic relationship shared by Indian Army and people of Ladakh region.
