A Bio Suit has been developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) to keep the medical professionals working with COVID-19 safe. The Organization has used its expertise in textiles, nanotechnology and coating to bring out the product
Highlights
The suit exceeds the criteria set by the Ministry of Health and Family welfare for the body suits of protection against synthetic blood. Synthetic blood is artificially made blood that will keep a patient under trauma alive up to 48 hours. Synthetic blood is made from Perfluorocarbons.

The use of this glue in the suit making process is expected to make a revolution in the textile industry. DRDO also has plans to mass produce the glue to support seam sealing activities of suit manufacturers.
