Billie Eilish matches 1981 record by winning 4 Grammy Awards
The 18-year-old singer cum songwriter, Billie Eilish from Los Angeles who gave voice to the people of a younger generation dealing with depression, made history by becoming the youngest artist to win the top four prizes in the history of Grammy Awards. The 62nd edition of the Grammy Awards was conducted at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on Monday, 27th January 2020 at which Billie Eilish including Record of the Year, Song of the year, Best album and the Best new artist. Since Christopher Cross in 1981, Eilish became the first artist to sweep the top four Grammy Awards.
‘Bad Guy’, ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go’, ‘Bad Guy’, were the albums by Billie Eilish who won the Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the year award respectively and fifth one being her Best Pop Vocal Album win for `When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go’ and her brotheFinneas O’Connell also won awards for engineering and producing the album.
This year’s award ceremony was hosted by the 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys.
