“BHOOMI RASHI PORTAL” provides transparent and error free Land Acquisition

On March 13, 2020, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways claimed that “Bhoomi Rashi Portal” provides transparent and error free land acquisition.

What is Bhoomi Rashi Portal?

In 2018, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had designed a single point platform for land acquisition to accelerate infrastructure development projects. There are several authorities like National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), State PWDs and NHIDCL (National Highway and Infrastructure Development Company Limited). The portal aims to provide linkages between the above implementing authorities.

Significance

The portal improves efficiency of land acquisition processes. It provides quicker process completion. It also helps to open new opportunities in land acquisition processes. After launching the portal, the processing time of land acquisition that was weeks to months together has been reduced to 2 weeks.

Th portal generates web services in order get payment status. It also prepares interface to add project details on land acquisition.
