Banjara Virasat ‘Nagara’ Museum
The Banjara Virasat ‘Nagara’ Museum was recently opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Pohradevi, located in the Washim district of Maharashtra. This museum is dedicated to celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Banjara community, which is why Pohradevi is often called the “Kashi of the Banjara Community.”

The museum is a four-story building with 13 different galleries. These galleries showcase the history and traditions of the Banjara people. Historical and Spiritual Significance of Pohradevi
Pohradevi holds deep historical and spiritual meaning for the Banjara community. It is the home of the tomb of Sant Sewalal Maharaj, a revered spiritual leader, and the shrine of Ramraobapu Maharaj. These sacred sites make Pohradevi a place of pilgrimage and spiritual significance, making it the perfect location for the museum.

During the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi also visited the Jagdamba Temple and paid his respects at the tombs of Sant Sewalal Maharaj and Ramraobapu Maharaj.
