BAFTA FILM AWARDS 2019

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts, BAFTA awards are presented in an annual award show hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) to honour the best British and international contributions to film. The BAFTA FILM AWARDS 2019 have been announced. The awardees under the various categories are listed below:

  • Director: Alfonso Cuarón, Roma
  • Costume Design: The Favourite
  • Make Up & Hair: The Favourite
  • Original Music: A Star Is Born
  • Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer: Michael Pearce and Lauren Dark, Beast
  • Animated Film: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
  • Adapted Screenplay: BlacKkKlansman
  • British Short Animation: Roughhouse
  • British Short Film: 73 Cows
  • Cinematography: Roma
  • Documentary: Free Solo
  • Editing: Vice
  • Film Not in the English Language: Roma
  • Original Screenplay: The Favourite
  • Production Design: The Favourite
  • Sound: Bohemian Rhapsody
  • Special Visual Effects: Black Panther
  • EE Rising Star Award: Letitia Wright, Black Panther/Infinity War (public vote)

The Special Award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema was given to Elizabeth Karlsen and Stephen Woolley and the Fellowship honor was presented to editor Thelma Schoonmaker.
