Assam Intra-State Transmission System Enhancement Project

Assam Intra-State Transmission System Enhancement Project, with the total outlay of $365 million, seeks to strengthen the state’s electricity transmission system by setting up or upgrading transmission substation and transmission lines. The Centre and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) have inked a loan agreement for this project. Under this agreement, the AIIB will be providing $304 million and Assam government will invest $61 million. This project will ensure socio-economic growth in the state.
