Assam Government conducts Gunotsav programme

Assam government had conducted four-day long Gunotsav programme to improve quality of school education in the state. The quality improvement programme covered over 9 lakh students of 12320 primary schools in Chirang, Barpeta, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, Hailakandi, Kamrup (Metro), Morigaon and West Karbi Anglong districts of the state. In it, external evaluators were deputed to the schools for conducting external evaluation of students to gauge and assess the quality of learning and teachers and students. It should be noted that, Gunotsav originally was Gujarat government’s initiative which has been adopted by Assam government.
