Ashok Kumar Balyan to head Anil Ambani-led Reliance group’s oil & gas business

Anil Ambani led Reliance Group – Oil & Gas Business appointed Ashok Kumar Balyan as its new CEO by on 27 July 2015.
Mr. Balyan previously had worked for decades with the public sector giant Oil and Natural Gas Company (ONGC) and followed by a dedicated performance in Petronet LNG.
He will be prominently leading towards setting up a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal and LNG procurement specifically for the Bangladesh power project.
Recently Reliance Power had announced the setting up LNG based power plant and an LNG terminal in Bangladesh of about of 3,000 MW in a phase manner. Over 18,000 crore rupees has been estimated towards its completion.

About A K Balyan:

A K Balyan has a srong experience of 26 years in field of exploration; he had served as Director in charge of Human Resource, Business Development & Joint Ventures in ONGC for over two decades. Later he joined Petronet LNG Ltd as MD & CEO in 2010 and completed five year term there.
He has headed production and exploration operations in Dhanseri Valley Project, Kolkata Basin and has established coal bed methane exploration in the country.
