Article 417 of Myanmar Constitution

Article 417 of Myanmar Constitution allows the military to take control over the Asian nation in times of emergency. This clause is deemed by the experts as “coup mechanism in waiting”. The Myanmar Constitution in infamous for allowing military to retain the power under the façade of democracy.  Currently Myanmar’s military is controlling the country under one-year state of emergency as per Article 417.
