ARMEX-21

ARMEX-21 is a major skiing expedition launched by the Indian Army from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand, covering around 1,500 km distance. This comes to close proximity with the LAC in Ladakh, Himachal, Garhwal and Kumaon sectors. It will commence from March 3. The aim is to prevent Chinese expansion into India’s northern borders by marking Indian presence in “unheld” areas. The expedition comes amid border tensions between India and China.
