First Arabic translation of Indian Constitution launched in Egypt

In Cairo, Egypt, the first Arabic translation of Indian Constitution was launched.
It was launched by Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil El Araby along with Secretary (East) ambassador Anil Wadhwa from the Ministry of External Affairs. The launch was organised in the Secretariat of the League of Arab States by the embassy of India in collaboration with the League of Arab States
The translation of constitution was undertaken by International IDEA and is the first translation of the Indian Constitution into Arabic. It will help to propagate principles of Indian Constitution that meets the aspirations and holds together all sections of Indian society and is characterised by large lingual, religious and ethnic diversity. Thus helping Middle East countries to draft their constitution and sustain healthy institutions of democracy.
