A man is walking at a speed of 10 km/hr. After every km, he takes a rest for 5 minutes. How much time will he take to cover a distance of 5 km?
[A]40 minutes
[B]50 minutes
[C]60 minutes
[D]70 minutes
50 minutes
Time taken in covering 5 km $latex = \frac{5}{10} = \frac{1}{2}\ hour = 30\ minutes &s=1$
That person will take rest for four times.
∴ Required time = (30 + 4 $latex \times$ 5) minutes = 50 minutes.
Hence option [B] is correct answer.

April 30, 2018 at 1:15 amA man goes 10 km in 60 mint
1 km in = 60/10 = 6 mint
As, After 1 km he takes rest for 5 mints then
=( 6+5+6+5+6+5+6+5+6) [ as he takes 4 time rest to go 5 km distance]
= 50 mint
