A Helpline Number ‘14444’ for digital payments support to be launched

After the launch of free-to-air ‘DigiShala’ TV channel and ‘CashlessIndia‘ website, a nationwide toll-free helpline number ‘14444’ called Cash Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Helpine number is set to be launched very soon to promote digital payments and to educate people and provide support related to the cashless mode of transactions. The government has sought the support of the IT body NASSCOM in providing support for operationalizing the service on a massive scale. According to the IT ministry, after demonetisation, the digital payments have increased in the range 400 to 1,000 percent since November 8.
