The Parliamentary committee under the chairmanship of E.M. Sudarsana Natchiappan has been constituted to review Model code of conduct (MCC) for election polls and will also suggest ways to check distribution of cash and freebies ahead of the polls. The MCC are the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI)for conduct of political parties and candidates during elections mainly with respect to speeches, polling day, polling booths, election manifestos, processions and general conduct.
