India has recently bagged two gold and two silver medals in men’s and women’s categories of Javelin throw at the 2016 Budapest Open Athletics meet. In men’s section, Shiv Pal Singh won the gold with a javelin throw of 76.74 meters while Rajinder Singh won silver. In women’s section, national record-holder Annu Rani won gold with a throw of 57.24 meters. Suman Devi, a South Asian Games champion, won the silver with a throw of 55.38 meters.
