Pinarayi Vijayan, the veteran leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), has been sworn-in as the new Chief Minister of Kerala. In 2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly election, he won the Dharmadom assembly constituency in Kannur by getting 87329 votes with a huge lead of 36905 votes against the opposing candidate.
