Which state government has recently accorded minority status to the Jain community?

The Gujarat Government has recently accorded minority status to the Jain community in the state and regarding to it, a Government Resolution (GR) has also issued. Previously, the UPA government at the Centre had conferred minority status on the community at the national level in January 2014. The minority status has nothing to do with reservation, it will benefit the poor among the Jain community as they can avail of various scholarships and government welfare schemes.
