The Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty has bagged the best sound award for documentary “India’s Daughter” at the Motion Picture Sound Editors’ 63rd annual Golden Reel Awards. With this, he becomes the first Asian to win the coveted award from the Motion Picture Sound Editors’ (MPSE) of United States for best sound. The BBC documentary is directed by Leslee Udwin, which is banned in India.
