WBC Asia: Indian Pro Boxer Vaibhav Yadav wins
Indian pro boxer Vaibhav Yadav became World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia silver Welterweight Champion after winning the title bout held in Pattaya, Thailand.
Highlights
He won the title after defeating Fahpetch Singmanassak of Thailand. Vaibhav clinched a 3rd-round knockout win over Singmanassak.
The fight was conducted by Asian Boxing Council (ABC) and approved by World Boxing Council (WBC).
About Vaibha Yadav
The 24-year-old Indian boxer is nicknamed ‘Ahir boxer’.
He hails from New Delhi and so far have a record of 5-1-0 on pro circuit.
He is a cousin of Commonwealth Games (CWG) gold-medallist Vikas Krishan who has also turned pro now.
About Asian Boxing Council
It is a professional boxing organization that is responsible for sanctioning title fights in Greater Asian region.
It was established in 1985 with headquarters in Thailand
ABCO is a Federation of national professional boxing commissions which was formed as a confederation affiliated with WBC.
