Prism scandal: India among top 5 most monitored nations

As per reports in the UK newspaper, The Guardian, India is among the top 5 countries most extensively monitored by the NationalSecurity Agency (NSA), a US government agency tasked with foreign surveillance. The NSA collected 6.3 billion pieces of intelligence from computer networks in India, placing it 5th on the list of most extensively monitored nations.
Boundless Informant:
Under the PRISM program, the NSA is using a data-mining tool called Boundless Informant that details and even maps by country the voluminous amount of information it collects from computer and telephone networks.
Which are the top 5 country being spied on?

  1. Iran topped the list with 14 billion pieces of intelligence collected from it.
  2. Pakistan stood at second position with 13.5 billion pieces of info.
  3. Jordan was third with 12.7 billion.
  4. Egypt was fourth with 7.6 billion.
  5. India stood fifth 6.3 billion pieces of intelligence
