Salom Zurichishvili elected as first female President of Georgia
Salom Zurichishvili was elected as the first female President of Georgia. She will take charge on December 16, 2018. In recently concluded presidential election, Salom Jurabishvili defeated her rival candidate Grigol Washadze. She received 59.5% of the votes, while Grigol Washadze received 40.5% of the votes.
Salom Jurabishvili
Salom Jurabishvili was born on March 18, 1952. Earlier she had served as Minister of Georgia from March 20, 2004 to October 19, 2005. She was members of Iran’s Prohibition Committee of UN Security Council Council (UNSC) between November 11, 2010 and October 10, 2013.
