The Indian Army and Indian Air Force conducted EX Winged Raiders in the Eastern Theater. The exercise focused on special airborne operations to improve inter-service synergy. It aimed at enhancing interoperability, crucial for the planned integrated theatre command. Interoperability allows different armed forces to use each other’s weapon systems efficiently. The exercise involved airborne insertion techniques using fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Chinook helicopters were used for special airborne operations. The training enhanced troop expertise, rapid deployment, and mission readiness.

IIAS-DARPG India Conference 2025 is held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from February 10-14, 2025. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the event. IIAS-DARPG stands for International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). 240 delegates from 55 countries have registered. The theme is “Next Generation Administrative Reforms – Reaching the Last Mile.” The event focuses on public administration, governance, and policymaking innovations. India is hosting the IIAS Conference for the first time, making it the first South Asian country to do so.

Odisha’s first captive breeding of sambar will take place at Satkosia Tiger Reserve. The reserve is located in Odisha, covering Angul, Cuttack, Boudh, and Nayagarh districts. It includes Baisipalli Sanctuary and Satkosia Gorge Sanctuary. The total area is 963.87 sq km, with 523.61 sq km as the core area. It is part of the Mahanadi Elephant Reserve. Satkosia lies at the meeting point of the Deccan Peninsula and Eastern Ghats. The Mahanadi River flows through it.

Kyrian Jacquet of France won the 2025 Chennai Open Tennis men’s singles title. He defeated Elias Ymer of Sweden in the final on 9 February 2025 at SDAT Tennis Stadium, Nungambakkam, Tamil Nadu. The 2025 Chennai Open was an ATP 100 Challenger event held from 3-9 February 2025. This is Kyrian Jacquet’s first Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) title. In the semi-finals, Jacquet beat Dalibor Svrcina, and Ymer defeated top-seeded Billy Harris.

The 3rd edition of Exercise CYCLONE, a joint special forces drill between India and Egypt, is taking place in Rajasthan from February 10 to 23. The exercise takes place at the Mahajan Field Firing Range. It involves the special forces of both countries, focusing on counter-terrorism, high-intensity combat, and survival techniques. The goal is to improve coordination between the Indian and Egyptian Armies.
