PM Modi Launches Campaign Celebrating 75 Years of India’s Constitution

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the year 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of India’s Constitution. He described the Constitution as a guiding light for the nation and brought into light its enduring relevance.

Year-Long Celebrations

The celebrations commenced on Constitution Day, November 26, 2024. Various activities will take place throughout the year to engage citizens. A dedicated website, constitution75.com, has been launched to connect the public with the Constitution’s legacy. Visitors can read the Preamble in multiple languages and upload videos related to the Constitution. The site also facilitates inquiries about constitutional matters.

World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit

India is set to host the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) for the first time. This event aims to establish India as a global hub for content creation. Young creators are taking an active role in organising the summit, showcasing their talents and ideas.

Promoting Ayurveda in Paraguay

Erica Huber from Paraguay has gained recognition for promoting Ayurveda. She offers Ayurvedic consultations at the Indian Embassy in Paraguay. Despite her engineering background, she pursued her passion for Ayurveda and has become a skilled practitioner, attracting local interest.

Tamil Language Initiative in Fiji

The Fiji government has initiated a Tamil teaching programme in collaboration with India. This marks the first Tamil language programme in Fiji in 80 years. Trained teachers will educate students about Tamil, one of the oldest languages globally, encouraging cultural appreciation.

Malaria Reduction Achievements

The World Health Organization reported an 80% reduction in malaria cases and deaths in India from 2015 to 2023. This achievement reflects the collective efforts of the government and citizens, showcasing effective public health strategies.
