Direct Tax Collection Surges in 2024-25

The Income Tax Department has reported impressive growth in direct tax collections for the financial year 2024-25, surpassing 19.21 lakh crore rupees, marking a substantial 20.32% increase compared to the previous year. The total direct tax collection comprises two main components – corporate tax and non-corporate tax.
