PM Naraendra Modi inaugurates Integrated Command and Control Centre at Naya Raipur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated country’s 10th Smart City Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Under the ambitious Smart City Mission, ICCC in nine cities are operational in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Pune, Nagpur, Rajkot, Visakhapatnam, Bhopal and Kakinada.
Key Facts
The ICCC at Naya Raipur will control and monitor online water and power supply, sanitation, traffic movement, integrated building management, city connectivity and Internet infrastructure (data centre), under one roof. It will also undertake monitoring of Naya Raipur city. It will also control and monitor online water and power supply, sanitation and traffic movement. The centre will be managed through GIS (geographic information system) platform, where residents can register their complaints regarding service dysfunction through helpline numbers.
Naya Raipur
Naya Raipur is upcoming capital city of Chhattisgarh and country’s first smart greenfield city. It is one of the three Smart Cities of Chhattisgarh selected under Smart Cities Mission. Other two cities are Raipur and Bilaspur. Naya Raipur is being envisioned as service hub across multiple sectors including information technology, finance, trade, hospitality, biotechnology, medical and education. It is also the first digitally accessible smart city in country which has pioneered in implementing Universal Access IT systems which includes and empowers citizens with disability to access with ease.
