Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Approves Purchase of New VVIP Jet
The government of Madhya Pradesh recently gave the go-ahead to buy a new plane, a Challenger 3500 Jet Plane. To make it easier for VVIPs to get around, this choice was made with the help of Chief Minister Mohan Yadip. This change was made because the state’s last plane, a B-200GT VT MPQ, was damaged in a crash landing at Gwalior airport in May 2021. The new jet is supposed to make transporting VVIPs within the state safer and more efficient.
Adoption of National E-Vidhan Application (NEVA)
The Madhya Pradesh government has also agreed to spend an estimated Rs 23.87 crore to set up the National E-Vidhan Application (NEVA). This is in addition to buying the new jet. The goal of this project, which is part of the Center’s Digital India program, is to make the state assembly online. It plans to connect all state houses on a single digital platform, which will help the environment and make the government work more efficiently. Under the NEVA funding plan, the Central government will pay 60% of the project cost and the state governments will pay the other 40%. This is a big step forward in Madhya Pradesh’s efforts to digitize its governmental processes.

About National E-Vidhan Application (NEVA)
The National E-Vidhan Application (NEVA) is a project by the Indian government to make the work of Indian lawmakers more digital. It was made to get rid of paper from legislative processes. As part of the Digital India program, NEVA works to promote a clean government that is good for the environment and lasts. It makes it easier for lawmakers to do their jobs and gives people better access to information about lawmakers. The app helps automate the whole process of making laws, from managing questions to keeping track of how decisions are carried out. It also makes it easier for members to talk to each other and works better because information is shared in real-time. The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs runs NEVA, and the Digital India program usually pays for it.
