Maharashtra Wins Best Agriculture State Award 2024
The 15th Agriculture Leadership Awards Committee found that Maharashtra is the best state for farming in 2024. This award, given by Justice P Sathasivam, recognizes Maharashtra for making big steps forward in new ways of farming and improving rural areas.

The ceremony in New Delhi on July 10, 2024, will give this coveted award to Eknath Shinde, who is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. This award honors the work of both individuals and the government in this area, based on successful methods that promote long-term agriculture growth and food security.
Innovative Agricultural Practices in Maharashtra
- Maharashtra is starting several innovative farming projects, including the Start of the country’s biggest bamboo project, which could change 21 lakh hectares of land.
- As a joint effort between the Central and state governments, a 1.20 lakh-acre green belt is being developed in Nandurbar district.
- A solid plan to improve the ability to water over 17 lakh areas by completing 123 development projects.

Background of The Agricultural Leadership Award
Agricultural Today magazine started the Agricultural Leadership Award in 2008 to honor the most important people and states in the agricultural world.
