27th World Investment Conference

Invest India, the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency of the Government of India, and the current President of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), is set to host the 27th World Investment Conference (WIC) from December 11-14, 2023. The conference will take place at the India International Convention & Expo Centre – Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, under the theme “Empowering Investors: IPAs Pioneering Future Growth.”

Key Highlights

Theme: This year’s conference is centered around “Empowering Investors: IPAs Pioneering Future Growth.”
Keynote Address: Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal, will deliver the keynote address on the Role of Trade and Investment in the Decade of Action on December 13, 2023.
Private Equity Roundtable: Shri Goyal will chair a closed-room roundtable of Private Equity during the conference.
Experience India Centre (EIC) Launch: The Minister will launch the Experience India Centre (EIC), showcasing the best of India’s offerings across services, technology, and products through various technologies, including virtual reality, augmented reality, interactive touch screens, and projection mapping.
Startups Showcase: EIC will provide a platform for delegates to engage with leading Indian startups, offering insights into India’s products, services, tourism, and vibrant culture through immersive experiences.
Ancient Musical Instruments Exhibition: The event includes an exhibition featuring meticulously preserved and restored ancient musical instruments, contributing to the promotion of cultural heritage.
Marquee Sessions: WIC will host various sessions, including a Meeting of ‘IPAs of G20 Nations,’ IPAs of G20 Compendium on Sustainable FDI, Meeting of World Investment for Development Alliance (WIDA), and a roundtable on “The India Opportunity: Investing in an Emerging Economy Poised for Fast-Track Growth.”
White Papers: Invest India may release white papers on key topics such as E-Commerce, Electronics, Sustainable textiles, and Responsible AI.
International and Indian Speakers: The conference will host international and Indian speakers from government, industry, and academia, including Secretary, DPIIT, Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, and Founder and CEO, Paytm, Shri Vijay Shekhar Sharma, among others.
Parallel Sessions: Focused on Agri-Food Processing, Energy/Infrastructure, Tourism, Automotive & Machinery, ICT/Technology, and Life Sciences, these sessions will explore investment opportunities and trends in each sector.
Showcasing Indian Initiatives: India will showcase key initiatives like Make in India, PM Gati Shakti, and measures taken for ease of doing business.
Startup-Investor Connect: The conference will feature “The Startup-Investor Connect program” to facilitate funding and showcase innovation.
Global Participation: Over 1000 attendees, 50 IPAs, and various multilateral agencies are expected to participate, making it the largest WIC ever.
