3rd Edition of Global Maritime India Summit 2023

In a virtual ceremony held on October 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the third edition of the Global Maritime India Summit 2023 (GMIS). This monumental event, hosted in Mumbai, is recognized as the largest maritime gathering in the country. The summit draws participants from across the world, including ministers from Europe, Africa, South America, Asia (including central Asia, Middle East, and the BIMSTEC region), and serves as a catalyst for India’s maritime industry.

Prime Minister Modi also unveiled ‘Amrit Kaal Vision 2047,’ a forward-looking plan for India’s maritime blue economy. In line with this vision, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects worth more than Rs 23,000 crores, aligning with the goals of the ‘Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.’
