Bharat NCX 2023

The second edition of the National Cyber Security Exercise, known as ‘Bharat NCX 2023,’ has commenced as a hybrid exercise over a 12-day period starting from October 9. This crucial program is conducted by the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) in collaboration with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) and is aimed at providing training to senior management and technical personnel from government agencies, critical sector organizations, and both public and private entities. The exercise focuses on contemporary cyber threats, incident handling, and response strategies.

Key Objectives

‘Bharat NCX 2023’ seeks to address the following objectives:

  1. Training for Senior Management: The exercise aims to provide training for senior management and technical personnel from various sectors on contemporary cyber threats.
  2. Incident Handling and Response: It focuses on enhancing the knowledge and skills required to effectively handle cyber incidents and respond to them.
  3. Unifying Platform: The exercise acts as a unifying platform for over 300 participants representing government agencies, public organizations, and the private sector. These participants share a common commitment to safeguarding critical information infrastructure.
  4. Training Sessions: Participants will receive training in various essential areas of cybersecurity, including intrusion detection techniques, malware information sharing, vulnerability handling, penetration testing, network protocols, data flows, and digital forensics.

Cyber Threat Understanding and Readiness

‘Bharat NCX’ serves as a valuable opportunity for strategic leaders to better comprehend cyber threats, assess readiness, and cultivate skills for managing cyber crises and cooperation. The exercise promotes the development and testing of cybersecurity competencies, teamwork, planning, communication, critical thinking, and decision-making.
