‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar’ Initiative

The government has announced the launch of the ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar’ initiative, aimed at fostering a culture of customers requesting invoices for all purchases. Starting on a pilot basis for 12 months from September 1, the initiative will be launched in select regions including Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Puducherry, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Daman & Diu.

Under the scheme, there will be 800 monthly lucky draws of Goods and Services Tax (GST) invoices, with a prize value of Rs 10,000 each, along with 10 draws worth Rs 10 lakh each. A quarterly draw for two bumper prizes of Rs 1 crore each will also be held. The initiative encourages consumers to upload invoices, with eligibility criteria including a minimum invoice value of Rs 200 and a maximum of 25 invoices per individual per month. Winners will be required to provide additional information for prize transfer.
