The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recently notified 31 Indian standards related to Ayush herbs and products.
It includes 30 herbs and one product including a stainless steel neti pot. An additional department was earlier established with a dedicated focus on Ayush at BIS.

The National Mission for Mentoring (NMM) is an initiative aimed at creating a pool of outstanding professionals willing to provide mentoring for school teachers and promote their professional development.
National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) launched NMM in Pilot mode in selected 30 Central Schools across the country. As part of this initiative, the NCTE organized a capacity building workshop for 60 mentors.

Swachh Jal Se Suraksha Campaign Report was released recently under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The campaign was organised from 2nd October, 2022 to 31st March, 2023.
Water quality testing has been reported in 5.39 lakh (89.69 %) villages for chemical and in 4.47 lakh (74.46 %) villages for bacteriological contamination.

Union Minister For Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat launched the Unified Registration Portal For GOBARdhan. It will act as a one stop repository to assess investment and participation in Biogas/CBG sector at the national level.
It streamlines the process of setting up CBG/Biogas plants in India. Any government, cooperative or private entity operating or intending to setup a plant in India can obtain a registration number here.

 

Notes:
NHPC Limited, a Government of India Enterprise and Vidhyut Utpadan Company Limited (VUCL), Nepal signed an MoU in New Delhi for development of Phukot Karnali Hydro Electric Project in Nepal.
This hydroelectric project will flow from Karnali River to generate power and the generated power will be fed into integrated power system of Nepal.
