5th Edition of Global Ayurveda Festival

Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, is gearing up to host the fifth edition of the Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF 2023). Set to take place from December 1 to 5, the event will be held at the Greenfield International Stadium in Karyavattom. GAF 2023 aims to highlight the emerging challenges in healthcare and the renewed significance of Ayurveda as a holistic healing system.

The Focal Theme: Addressing Healthcare Challenges and a Resurgent Ayurveda

GAF 2023 will revolve around the focal theme of ‘Emerging challenges in healthcare and a resurgent Ayurveda.’ This theme emphasizes the need to explore Ayurveda’s role in tackling contemporary health issues while showcasing its rejuvenation as a prominent healthcare discipline. By addressing the challenges faced by modern healthcare systems, GAF 2023 seeks to position Ayurveda as a valuable and effective alternative.

Global Networking Opportunities and Participation

GAF 2023 expects a substantial international presence with 7,500 delegates from 75 countries. The event offers an excellent platform for Ayurveda practitioners, stakeholders, and enthusiasts to connect, exchange knowledge, and forge collaborations on a global scale. Notably, top scientists, including Nobel laureates, will also participate, lending further prestige and expertise to the festival.

Arogya Expo: Showcasing Ayurveda’s Diverse Offerings

One of the major highlights of GAF 2023 is the Arogya Expo. This expo will feature approximately 500 stalls representing businesses, organizations, and institutions from around the world. It offers a unique opportunity for participants to showcase their Ayurvedic products, services, and innovations, fostering increased investments, export opportunities, and trade within the Ayurveda sector.

Grand Kerala Ayurveda Fair: A Prelude to GAF 2023

Before GAF 2023, there will be a Grand Kerala Ayurveda Fair taking place in all districts of Kerala from November 1 to 30. This fair acts as a prelude to the main event, generating enthusiasm and awareness about Ayurveda among the local population while setting the stage for the grand festivities to follow.

Organizing Authority and Association

The Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA) is organizing GAF 2023 in collaboration with the Ministry of Ayush and the Ayush department of the State government. These collective efforts signify the commitment to promote Ayurveda’s potential and integrate it into mainstream healthcare practices.
